Good if you understand the limitations.
These are good and great for a ladies purse. They are not a taser so it's not going to take someone down or incapacitate. They will hurt but that's it, it won't stop a determined attack.
They do however make a loud zap when activated and would be a reasonable deterrent if activated at a distance telling someone to stay back. Plus it's a flashlight which also aids safety so it's worth getting.
Great Protection for Ladies (& anyone, for that matter!)
Love the size, and although I hope I'll never have to use it, I am very pleased with this unit (actually larger than a regular lipstick) & the zap strength. Just the sound alone can scare anybody or loose dog, etc.! The flashlight is nice & bright, too. I also like not having to charge it more often than the 2-4 months mentioned.
